Its been forever since I did a book tag, so to break up the monotony of reviews, I thought it would be fun to take a stab at one! I wasn’t tagged in this, but I saw the 20 Questions Book Tag a few weeks ago on the Words About Words blog and thought it would be a fun one to try!
HOW MANY BOOKS ARE TOO MANY IN A SERIES?
I don’t know if I know the answer to this! I think the longest book series I’ve read is the immortals after dark series by Kresley Cole (currently 18 books and counting), but also I own two other series that are even longer than that? It just depends on the story at hand I think.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT CLIFF-HANGERS?
I actually like them! Its a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I love the high of rushing for the next book to see what happens next.
HARDBACK OR PAPERBACK?
Paperbacks but only if they are the floppy ones!
FAVORITE BOOK?
That literally is the worst question you could ask a book lover! I don’t think I have a favorite, but I do have a list! Here are some of my favorite books: From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata, Forbidden Fling by Kat Taylor, A Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Wicked Deeds On A Winter Night by Kresley Cole, and A Court of Misty and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.
LEAST FAVORITE BOOK?
This Is Not A Love Scene by Megale S.C.
LOVE TRIANGLE… YES OR NO?
Not really a fan of them as I rarely have seen them done well, so nope. Which is shocking because I absolutely am trash for the Twilight saga.
THE MOST RECENT BOOK YOU COULDN’T FINISH?
Cherish by Tracey Wolff. I lost many braincells to that series, and I couldn’t spare anymore.
A BOOK YOU’RE CURRENTLY READING?
Currently I’m catching up on my book club’s reread of the Immortal After Dark series! I’m a few books behind, but I’m wrapping up A Pleasure of A Dark Prince right now, as I type this.
THE LAST BOOK YOU RECOMMENDED TO SOMEONE?
The last book I recommended to someone would be Little Slice of Hell by Clio Evans to Jamsu! Fingers crossed she likes it!
OLDEST BOOK YOU’VE READ (BASED ON PUBLICATION DATE)?
The Mistress of Mellyn by Victoria Holt, which was published in 1960. I’ve probably read something much older while in school, but I’m not going to go searching through it to find out.
NEWEST BOOK YOU’VE READ (BASED ON PUBLICATION DATE)?
I think the newest book I read would have to be Hunt on Dark Waters by Katee Robert. A fantasy, Pirate-ish (not really) romance that was released November 7, 2023. Wasn’t the greatest KR book I’ve read, but it wasn’t the absolute worst thing I’ve read all year either, so there is that.
FAVORITE AUTHOR?
I have a top five because genuinely cannot choose a favorite author. I mean I probably could but I don’t want to, so here is the list in no particular order: Mariana Zapata, Piper Rayne, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Ruby Dixon, and Sarah J. Maas.
BUYING BOOKS OR BORROWING THEM?
I am an equal opportunist! I love buying books that I already know I love, and I love borrowing books to test them out to see if I will like them and/or the author.
A BOOK YOU DISLIKE THAT EVERYONE ELSE LOVES?
Cruel Prince by Holly Black–I’m just not into bully romances and the writing didn’t work for me unfortunately, which sucks because I got the B&N special editions of the entire series.
BOOKMARKS OR DOG-EARS?
Bookmarks! I can’t do permanent damage to a book-I struggle even writing/annotating in one, so dog-earring a book is a no no with me.
A BOOK YOU CAN REREAD OVER AND OVER?
Literally anything by Mariana Zapata. Come rain or shine, I think I’ve reread her books the most out of any author I’ve read before.
CAN YOU READ WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC?
I can! If I don’t have the audio book for what i’m reading, you can usually find me listening to music while eyeball reading! I have to have some form of noise in my ears while reading or I get mega distracted.
MULTIPLE POVS OR ONE POV?
I’m a one POV kind of girly. Once you start adding different perspectives I start getting confused.
DO YOU READ A BOOK IN ONE SITTING OR OVER MULTIPLE DAYS ON AVERAGE?
It depends on the amount of pages within the book, but on average it takes me at least 2ish days to read a book.

18 BOOKS?! Im sorry that is WAY too much for me, being a standalones type of gal 😳 most series I don’t even read the nexts anyway xD maybe just the first two.. or that time I just read the second book of the charlotte holmes serie ..
I really need to start my first Marianna Zapata book!!
