Happy Monday folks! Today I was tagged by the great Isabelle @ Bookwyrm Bites to do the Ringing in the New Year tag which was originally created by Bookmark Chronicles! But before we get into the goodness of these questions, I highly suggest you go and follow her! She is a gem in a world of fake jewelry and I swear you will not regret your decision! Thank you again Isabelle for the tag!
Best book and/or series that you’ve read in 2018?
The best book that I have read in 2018 would hands down half to be This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada, not once have a read a book that entire year that had me so mind blown and shell-shocked for the entire ride. I binged the entire book in one sitting and have absolutely no regrets. Beautifully written with characters and a world so fleshed out and intrinsic–it was a time of goldenness.
Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year?
Emily Suvada, C.S. Pacat, and Piper Rayne!
Most anticipated book turned movie/tv show?
Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple. I didn’t know beforehand that this was based on a book when I watched the trailer release. But when I found out that it was originally a tome, I had to go get it from my local library. I am super excited to get a chance to read this book and watch the film!
Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one)?
I can only name one? That’s unfair! I HAVE TOO MANY! But I guess I’d have to go with Rhysand from the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas. He is a gem that I need in my life over and over again and I wouldn’t mind spending any of my midnights with him.
How many books do you hope to read in 2019?
For 2019 I set my goal on goodreads to be 120 as I read 115 or so books in 2018. I really am hoping to surpass this goal and make 2019 my bitch. A time will be had for sure.
Will you participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others?
I always participate in the Goodreads reading challenge! It’s a thing I do every year and I love being able to track stuff (What can I say? I’m trash for data). This year I am also participating in Romance-opoly–which is basically the romance version of monopoly–and my own personal challenge of reading one classic a month!
Any New Year’s Resolutions?
I have tons! You can check them all out on my other post (19 in 2019: Fictionally Sam Resolutions). But one of my big New Year Resolutions is to be more involved in the community and staying consistent!
Anyone who wants to do this! Like in Pokemon– I CHOOSE YOU!!!
