For the first time in forever, BookTok actually did a good thing with this Hallmark-esque Fantasy Romance! The Fae King’s Curse by Jamie Schlosser is a fun and fast paced adventure that left me all but swooning and wanting more from this series of Fae men and their hunt for their happily ever after.

TikTok finally did me a solid with their random quoted book scene videos and now I have a new obsession with Jamie Schlosser. As a new to me author, I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this story and was super stoked that Jamsu @ JamsuDreams agreed to buddy read this story with me! Fae King’s Curse is a fantasy romance story that is as spell binding as it is entertaining. The story follows Kirian, a Fae prince who is blinded after a coven of witches cursed all the first-born sons in the realm, and Quinn, your average human girl who finds herself smitten with the Fae that visits her every afternoon.
This story is one that I ate up. It was a comfort read that leaves you wanting to curl up with your softest of blankets and just bask in the characters and watch the plot unfold. I loved watching Quinn and Kirian together and watching them both learn what it means to be in a relationship as well as discovering traits they never thought they had until the other came into their lives.
There was bit of a back and forth between revealing the big secret (which we all kind of figure out from the get-go) as well as Quinn’s constant refusal of Kirian’s decision to be with her that got kind of repetitive, but honestly this wasn’t a book I went into with high expectations, so it didn’t bother me in the slightest. I was there for a good time and Schlosser delivered!
Overall, this was a great and fun read and one that has me excited to continue the series! If you are in the mood for a fantasy romance featuring Fae Royalty, a twinge of forbidden romance, curses, only one bed trope, a low level of spice (at least in my spice range) and healthy dose of friends to lovers. This is your story!
