Happy Tuesday storytellers! I am back with another Top Five Tuesday post as August has been dubbed the cover scavenger hunt month of sorts and we all know how much I love a good challenge! Plus this week is geared up to be something that will probably have me running to the nearest grocery store before I am able to hit send!
THIS WEEK’S TOPIC:
Top 5 Books with Food On The Cover
“Does food on the cover of books make you hungry?? What are you favourite cover designs with food on them?” – Meeghan Reads
So grab some popcorn and your binoculars, and lets get to hunting*!
*A Note from Future Sam: this was insanely hard! I didn’t realize just how few books (if any at all) I’ve read that actually have some form of food on the cover, let alone books I actually know of! True to the topics core, this was definitely a scavenger hunt! Hope you enjoy my flailing as I hunt!
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Oh c’mon! I would not not be me if I didn’t somehow in some way slip a twilight book in here. Who knew twilight could outdo satan in making an apple look oh so tempting?
With The Fire On High by Elizabeth Acevedo
I haven’t read this yet (its on the TBR!) but sometimes I like to waddle to goodreads and just stare at it and smile. This cover is so gorgeous and I can just feel the glossy texture sensation oozing from it every time I get a peak at the cover model’s scarf. Like I swear the physical copy should have some glossy moments or it will be the worlds biggest missed oppoturnity!
A Pizza My Heart by Teagan Hunter
I might be in the minority on this one but I totally and unashamedly love and prefer the original cover (one pictured here) over the updated version (plus the updated version doesn’t have food on it and desperate times call for desperate measures here). To me the couple moment mixed with fighting over some good ol’ pepperoni pizza, speaks VOLUMES towards the actually story of our beloved Wren and Foster. It also makes me seriously crave some too!
Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry
Okay this challenge has become personal and I am determined to show it whose boss! This is also a book I haven’t read yet but love to look at! I really enjoy a good drawing on burnt toast moment–though I am definitely unsure how it correlates back to rebelling against religion (specifically Christianity/Catholicism)…
Summertime Sweets by Alexa Riley
I knew when I was compiling this listicle I wanted to include a cover with some form of candy on the cover because who doesn’t have the occasional candy binge every now and then? But as I went through searching for the others covers on here, my mind continued to always flit back to this stunning cover. I absolutely am in LOVE with this cover and I would be lying if I didn’t say it was my favorite cover from the romance author duo!
What about you? Whats your favorite cover with food?
