Happy Wednesday storytellers! We are T-Minus one more day before the end of Bookending Winter 2020 and the start of the new year!
If this is your first time here on my blog (hi! Hello! I’m Sam!) and you don’t already know what Bookending Winter is, its a month long event in December that was created by myself and Clo @ Cuppa Clo where we aspire to bring the bookish community closer together through the platform we love the most–blogging! Each day throughout the month, we have different prompts from different hosts that participants can replicate! I am so excited to check out everyone’s posts and prompts as we get more into the month as our hosts this year are dishing out quality content! You can also catch me smiling from ear to ear as I get to meet all of you on your blogs and on our Twitter (@bookend_events if you haven’t followed, you totally should!) page!
Also, don’t forget that we have a blog hopping masterlist! The list features all of our participants and those who are participating in Bookending Winter can put their post links next to their name for easy blog hopping! Can’t wait to see all your amazing posts! And with that, let’s get into today’s prompt!
-TODAY’S PROMPT-
Mix and Match
Make the greatest literature remix ever and choose characters from some of your favorite stories and mix them into another book! Example: The cast of Twilight in The Martian by Andy Weir–what do you think they would do? How do you think they would react/interact with the new setting and characters?

If the cast of When Dimple Met Rishi by Sanhya Menon were transported into the setting of This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada, I think that both Dimple and Rishi would blend in nicely with the gang. Dimple would probably become Cat’s confident and friend as they both share knowledge of computers and coding, each of them would tag team to figure out how to stop the virus while Rishi probably would be sizing up Cole to make sure he doesn’t try any funny business with Dimple. I can totally see him though helping Dimple by being their testing guinea pig for the coding. I imagine the whole people blowing up and then eating other people situation probably (most definitely) will not sit well with either Dimple or Rishi, but lets face it, no one in either books is getting out of the story without a little PTSD so why not–YOLO.
Who would you mix and match?
