Bookending Winter 2020 has reached my neck of the woods and I can finally start the first half of my reign! If this is your first time here on my blog (hi! Hello! I’m Sam!) and you don’t already know what Bookending Winter is, its a month long event in December that was created by myself and Clo @ Cuppa Clo where we aspire to bring the bookish community closer together through the platform we love the most–blogging! Each day throughout the month, we have different prompts from different hosts that participants can replicate! I am so excited to check out everyone’s posts and prompts as we get more into the month as our hosts this year are dishing out quality content! You can also catch me smiling from ear to ear as I get to meet all of you on your blogs and on our Twitter (@bookend_events if you haven’t followed, you totally should!) page!
Also, don’t forget that we have a blog hopping masterlist! The list features all of our participants and those who are participating in Bookending Winter can put their post links next to their name for easy blog hopping! Can’t wait to see all your amazing posts! And with that, let’s get into today’s prompt!
-TODAY’S PROMPT-
Google Translates My Favorite Books…Holidays Edition
Inspired by Jimmy Fallon’s popular segment, Choose your favorite Winter/Holiday reads and use google translate to translate it to a random foreign language and then back to English!
Hello friends and welcome to my reign of hosting! Today’s prompt is recreation of Jimmy Fallon’s popular night show segment (if you’ve never seen it before I have it below! It’s hilariously fun!) and also a holiday edition to one of my previous blog posts where I originally recreated the segment! Basically what we will be doing is choosing 2-3 books and then copying and pasting their synopsis’s into good ol’ google translate and translating it into any foreign language of your choosing–and then translate it back into your native language (for me that would be English!).
Let’s see what Google has up it’s sleeve today!

Stabbing Prince Dracula
After discovering Jack The Spirit’s true identity after sadness and horror, Audrey Rose Wadsworth has no choice but to escape London and his memories. Along with the arrogant charming butt Thomas Cresswell, he travels to the dark heart of Romania, home to one of the best lumber schools in Europe … and another notorious killer, Vlad the Unbeliever, whose blood thirst has become a legend.
But her dream of dying is soon ruined by bloody discoveries in the halls of a forbidden school castle, and Audrey Rose is forced to investigate strangely known murders. What she finds revives all her terrible fears.
George’s Peach and Naughty Fruit
Joanna Gordon told me she was still alive and well. from his last year. And Jo agrees to seek reluctance.
Although it is (especially) easier for Jo to fit in as a good girl, things get complicated when she meets Mary Carlson, a sister who is trying hard for her new friend at school. But Jo could not imagine breaking his promises to his father. Although he begins to love the girl. Even if there is a chance that Mary Carlson will be interested in her as well. Right?
Whatcha think? Did Google get it right?
