This makes me sad… But today is our last day of Bookending Spring 2020. You guys have made this event an amazing experience. I am still making my way through all the posts that everyone has participated in, and it has made me smile to see all the connections and love that has been displayed from each and every one of you. This community is the best, and I am so grateful to be apart of it and to get to know each and every one of you.
As mentioned in the previous posts, the amazing Megan @ Ginger Mom Company is unable to host this week due to being unwell, so I will be stepping in and hosting on behalf of her. We will still be using her prompts–so don’t worry! We at Bookend Events, just ask that you credit Megan for the prompts (as you would a tag) as well as myself as host so that I can blog hop to your amazing posts! With that said, from everyone here at Bookend Events, we are wishing Megan a speedy recovery and sending her lots of love! ♥️
If this is your first time here on my blog (hi! Hello! I’m Sam!) and you don’t already know what Bookending Spring is, its a month long event in April that was created by myself and Clo @ Cuppa Clo where we aspire to bring the bookish community closer together through the platform we love the most–blogging! Each day throughout the month, we have different prompts from different hosts that participants can replicate! I am so excited to check out everyone’s posts and prompts as we get more into the month as our hosts this year are dishing out quality content! You can also catch me smiling from ear to ear as I get to meet all of you on your blogs and on our Twitter (@bookend_events if you haven’t followed, you totally should!) page!
Also, don’t forget that we have a blog hopping masterlist! The list features all of our participants and those who are participating in Bookending Spring can put their post links next to their name for easy blog hopping! Can’t wait to see all your amazing posts! And with that, let’s get into today’s prompt!
Spring Break Buddy
Pick a fictional character you’d take on Spring Break and tell us where you’d go, what you’d do, and why you would pick this character. Have fun with it!
You ever wonder what it would be like to just change your anatomy on a whim and spy on others? Welp, that is what I would do if I were to go on Spring break with Tink from the Wicked series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
Being a brownie, the turd bucket that makes my heart swell a thousand times over, has the ability to change forms into anything that he wants–though he prefers to be this tiny little elf like creature. Spring break would be a non-stop snark fest with him. We’d go to beach resort that neither of us have been too but totally found via a the “I’m feeling lucky” button on Google. The flights would be a red eye because I’m cheap and no one who is sane makes them their first choice. We’d almost get kicked out of the airport on both ends from being way to loud and unabashedly stare and eye-goggle strangers from afar.
The beach would be packed (as they always are during spring break), but Tink would make his gung-ho war cry and push people out of the way to make room for us, all the while kissing baby heads like he was the pope taking a mid day stroll at the Vatican. We’d spend most of our time drooling over the beignets we’d smuggled from New Orleans before we left and then make bets with commentary on which kid or person would go first in the water if Jaws were to suddenly happen.
Hint: Its the Chad-like surfer dude who constantly says bruh and wears neon orange like its the only color in the world.
Mine and Tink’s evenings would surmise of a whole bunch of tequila and binge watching TV shows where I would try to convince him that Emre from Erkenci Kus is not a redeemable character, and he in turn would try to convince me to finish watching Buffy the Vampire slayer. He’d then find out I have never seen a moment of Supernatural and our friendship would then be put on trial. Thankfully though, I am very persuasive with my alluring popcorn and we save the night binge watching Supernatural as he explains to me why I should like these two brothers that the world deems the greatest thing since science-fiction.
How would your Spring Break turn out? Also, what has been your favorite prompt this month?
