BOOKENDING WINTER 2019: A Very Potter Christmas!

Happy Friday Storytellers! Today is my first post for Bookending Winter 2019 and I am beyond excited to finally dive into all of these amazing prompts from some of these amazing hosts! If you don’t know what Bookending Winter is, its a month long event in December that was created by myself and Clo @ Cuppa Clo where we aspire to bring the bookish community closer together through the platform we love the most–blogging! Each day we have different prompts from different hosts that participants can replicate! I am so excited to check out everyone’s posts and prompts as we get more into the month as our hosts this year are dishing out quality content! You can also catch me smiling from ear to ear as I get to meet all of you on your blogs and on our Twitter (@bookend_events if you haven’t followed, you totally should!) page!

Today’s prompt is hosted by the lovely Tabatha over at Broken Soul Reviews! If you haven’t seen her original prompts or her other content, I highly encourage you to do so!

Also don’t forget that we have a blog hopping masterlist! The list features all of our participants and those who are participating in Bookending Winter can put their post links next to their name for easy blog hopping! Can’t wait to see all your amazing posts! And with that, let’s get into today’s prompt!

-TODAY’S PROMPT-

A Very Potter Christmas!

If you are anything like me, you have one healthy (or rather unhealthy) obsession with all things Harry Potter! Christmas/Winter time in Potter land has always been one of my favorites. It introduced us to Hogsmeade and opened up a door to tons of adventure for the crew. Today, we are taking a trip – right down to Hogsmeade, to grab ourselves some Butterbeer and talk about the upcoming Winter Ball! To get us in the Potter Winter Ball Spirit; there are some things I want to know about all of you!

What is your favorite Harry Potter Book and why?

Who is your favorite Potter Character (or top 3 if you wish) and why?

Which Harry Potter Character will YOU be taking to the ball? And why?

What is your favorite Harry Potter Book and why?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of FireMy favorite Harry Potter book that I’ve read so far (still need to get to Deathly Hallows) would have to be a toss up between Goblet of Fire and the Half-Blood Prince. I loved the adventure of Goblet of Fire and the sense of urgency with each of the games/tasks that Harry and the gang had to do.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceAs for the Half-Blood Prince, I really loved how the characters seemed to finally come into their own, they were super distinct, and their worldview had solidified. I adore the fact that even in book 6 we were still unraveling new layers to Dumbledore, Harry, and Snape (to name a few)–if you can’t tell I am a slut for character development and delving into the minds and lives of people. A time truly.

Who is your favorite Potter Character (or top 3 if you wish) and why?

Oh God we are going to go with top three:

Luna Lovegood

She is me and I am her. Plain and simple. A fellow ravenclaw, I had an instant connection with Luna from the very first moment she entered the story and with every book thereafter I found myself relating more and more to her. She is quirky, fun, and always enchanting, there is never a dull moment when you are around this gem.

Albus Dumbledore

The man is as sassy as he is wise–that’s all the reason you need.

Hermione Granger

Like Luna, I also found a little bit of myself within this smartass. From her perfectionism to her back story I connected with her. Plus she is insanely loyal–Gryffindor runs deep with this one.

Which Harry Potter Character will YOU be taking to the ball? And why?

Tonks because we’d have a grand time people watching and doing things we probably shouldn’t but YOLO.

YAAAAS I absolutely love Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I think Prisoner of Azkaban, but omg, Order of the Phoenix just wrecks my heart. Tonks is the perfect choice, I would take Malfoy, we’d slither away into the sunset together, he’d turn into a good nugget thanks to me bhahaah

This is super cute. I will admit, I’m pretty obsessed with HP. I mean, who isn’t? These are some great questions!

What a great prompt. Goblet of Fire is one of our favorites as well, but Deathly Hallows is the top in this house.

Yassss I love Luna and Hermione in the movies, cause you know I’ve not read the books and I don’t plan to. I’d probably take Draco to the ball haha cause I’m a slytherin (slytherclaw technically) hehe

Goblet of fire is def a favorite (as you know)! Half blood is a close runner up too but Deathly Hallows wins second place for me.

Luna is one of the best characters in the series and so important!
