Most Anticipated December Movie Releases

Happy Sunday Storytellers and welcome to another round of my most anticipated December Movie Releases! It is finally getting decently cold here in the southern parts of Texas! I can finally hear the grumbles of my fellow statesmen as they wish for the heat back, but jokes on them cause I’m rebuking each of those wishes. I live and breathe for winter weather, so I am living my best life these past few arctic blasts.

Cold weather isn’t the only thing the universe is dishing us this December. Nope, we are getting a ton of new movies as the movie season begins to wind down and award season begins to amp up. If October was thrills than our December movie releases is a nice mixture of period Dramas, thought provoking thrillers and Clandestine family films that any age bracket can appreciate. Without further ado, grab your calendars and some popcorn folks; and lets look at all the exciting films that will be gracing our cinema’s come next month!

En Brazos de un Asesino (December 6th)

En Brazos de un Asesino (2019) PosterGenre: Romance, Thriller
Rated: TBD
Directed: Matias Moltrasio
Starring: William LevyAlicia SanzAdrián LastraRoberto Sosa

Victor (William Levy) is one of the world’s most handsome men, but he has a deep secret – he is a cold blooded assassin. Smooth talking and seductive, Victor was raised to do one thing only, which is to kill for money. When he is sent to the home of a brutal drug lord to collect payment for his most recent hit, he encounters the beautiful Sarai (Alicia Sanz), who has been forced to spend the last 9 years of her life with the drug lord. After Victor leaves the compound, Sarai seizes her chance at freedom by hiding out in Victor’s car. But things don’t go as planned and instead of being transported back to her home, she finds herself free from one dangerous man only to be caught in the clutches of another.

While on the run from the vengeful drug lord and his brutal henchmen, Victor’s conscience catches up with him as he risks all that he stood for to protect his captive. In the end, the power Sarai unknowingly holds over Victor and their undeniable attraction may be what places her right in the arms of a killer.

Based off the book, Killing Sarai by J.A. Redmerski, this romance thriller is probably something I never knew I needed but totally deserve. Now excuse me as I drool over William Levy as Victor. Le Swoon.

Jumanji: The Next Level (December 13th)

Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) PosterGenre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy
Rated: PG-13

The gang is back but the game has changed. As they return to Jumanji to rescue one of their own, they discover that nothing is as they expect. The players will have to brave parts unknown and unexplored, from the arid deserts to the snowy mountains, in order to escape the world’s most dangerous game.

One name and one name only: Nick Jonas.

The Aeronauts (December 6th)

The Aeronauts (2019) PosterGenre:  Action, Adventure, Biography, Drama, Thriller
Rated: PG-13
Directed: Tom Harper
Starring: Felicity JonesEddie RedmayneHimesh PatelAnne Reid

Pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) and scientist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) find themselves in an epic fight for survival while attempting to make discoveries in a hot air balloon.

Two actors that I adore and admire in one movie? I don’t even care that the plot is whimsical as it is enthralling or that I may or may not get my heart ripped from my chest–TAKE MY MONEY. This was suppose to come out during October but got pushed back to December for God knows what reason, so we are tacking back on the list because I really want to see this movie.

You know I’m obsessed with the En Brazos de un Asesino trailer. I may or may not have watched it an embarrassing amount of times already, so that is one of them. I’ve also been meaning to watch The Irishman, which I know is not a December release, but I hope I’ll be able to watch it in December. Other than that, I shall try to binge as many Hallmark Christmas movies as humanly possible 😀

The movie I’m most excited for in December is The Rise of Skywalker! I’m also looking forward to Little Women.

You can take some of the arctic blast that was here – I’ll take 50-60 degree weather any day. I love the poster for The Aeronauts – it looks ominous but also not ominous? I don’t know. But also Eddie Redmayne is in it soooooo

I’m definitely up for some cute romantic movies on Netflix during break though, even if they’re probably going to be cheesy but if there’s more cuteness than cheese, I’ll take it.
