IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
Hello friends and new friends! I am so happy to be announcing our newest event within Bookend Events today! If you don’t know already, my partner in all things, Clo (Book Dragons) and I created Bookend Events where every quarter of the year we bring the bookish community a new event to bring us closer together and meet new blogs and friends!
This October, Clo and I are so happy to be announcing Bookending Autumn 2019! Just like before we will be having Hosts and prompts, however this time around we aim to bring things to another level–more fun, more epic prompts, and more community building!
So without further ado, grab a chair, put on your inner Kim Possible persona, and let’s get the sitch!
-WHAT IS IT?-
Bookending Autumn is one of the quarterly events, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together! Bookending Autumn has a theme of fall/autumn and all things Halloween, but you DO NOT need to stick to this theme at all!
-WHAT COUNTS?-
- Posting a minimum of 3 blog posts (you can use the prompts or not, up to you)
- Taking part in the Twitter chats
Now, you don’t have to do ALL of them. You can do one or both. It’s totally up to you.
-THE RULES-
- Book reviews don’t count as part of the event – but you’re more than welcome to still post them throughout the month. Just remember they won’t count as part of your 3 posts
- Not restricted to a theme/topic – you can post about whatever you want, however, we do encourage discussion posts and/or creative post types to branch out and have fun!
- General Topic Ideas: Discussion Posts, Tags/Awards, Memes, Writing Themed Posts, Blogging Themed Posts etc.
- You MUST include the Bookend Events logo somewhere on/within your post, this is so we know which posts are part of the event/got inspired through the event. It also helps us with blog hopping.
-HOW TO SIGN UP-
Join in on this fun by filling out the form! When you sign up, this allows us to see who’s taking part/planning to take part. It’s totally OK, if you end up not being able to take part etc. It’s to give us an idea and make sure we know who we’re blog hopping to.

-BLOG HOPPING MASTER LIST-
Once you sign up you are automatically added to the event’s blog hopping master list! On this list you will be able to add links to your event prompts as well as see other participants links for easy blog hopping and making new friends! This master list will be open and view-able start all throughout the month of October and some of November, so feel free to peruse and get to knowing folks!

-HOSTS & PROMPTS-

THIS IS BLOGOWEEN (OKAY FINE NOT ANYMORE BUT YOLO)
Oh wow, I really want to do this now!! I have a question though, so if I want to write a discussion post and tag it Bookending Autumn, I can? For instance if I want to talk about a movie I watched or something, I could tag it as BE Autumn even though it has nothing to do with it? Or it has to be related to fall or some overall theme? I also don’t have a twitter account, and I think that by tagging your acct in my post, I’m just linking to your twitter page right? (I’m sorry, but it’s my first time doing this!!)
Thank you so much in advance for answering my questions 💖
Hiya! You can totally do a discussion post as apart of Bookending Autumn, we just ask that posts for the event not be reviews! Anything that isn’t a review is totally acceptable! We do have a loose theme of Halloween/Autumn but you do not have to abide by it! As for tagging back, you can simply link back to this announcement post and it will be totally fine as Clo and I will recieve the ping!
If you plan on participating! Please be sure to fill out the sign up sheet so you can be added to our master list! On the masterlist you will be able to drop your posts links so that others can waddle to your posts and vice versa!
I hope this answered your questions and I also hope to see you during the event!!! <3
