I honestly don’t know what happened…
One minute I was planning accordingly what I was going to get this month and the next thing I know, I am staring at a trove of books and a sobbing bank account in the corner rocking itself back and forth.
I went overboard in March on books. I knew I was going to be spending more on books than usual as TeenBookCon was happening and I waddle out of there with a new stash of greatness, but wow March was also painted with B&N sales and awesome finds at my local Half Price that I literally could not pass up.
As always, before I get into the bounty of which my kindle and shelves cry out to in joy, let me preface this with I am a super frugal and hella cheap person. Most–if not all– of my purchases were deals from bookbub.com, amazon, audible, etc. which amounted to many of them being free, as well as through my carefully thought out monthly book budget as I have placed reading and supporting authors and the arts a priority when planning my personal finances. With that being said, take a look at my walk of shamelessness.

Are any of these on your TBRs, or have you already read them? If so, what did you think?

Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! This is so many books!
At the same time…the Montague siblings are not to be passed up!
I knoooowwwww! I didn’t realize how many books I got until I made this post 😂😂😂🙈🙈
Tis is very true!!!
Such a pretty stash of books!!!!!
I don’t buy too many books (lack of budget, lack of space). I basically just figure that since some of the money I pay in taxes (happily!) goes toward the library, so I pretty much own every book in there and just need to pick it up when I feel like it. 😀 I do buy copies of things I love love LOVE and want to own forever, though, and nonfiction books that I’ll use over and over again (like cookbooks, knitting books, gardening books, foreign language books, etc). My small shelves are getting overrun, though, and I need to read them down!
Happy reading with your new stash!!!
Thank you! And thats a great way to look at it! Libraries are such a great resource for those who get them and I love the crap out of mine (especially when I go on a book buying ban) when I get the chance to waddle over there each month!
GIRL you and I apparently can never have money and be in a bookstore together because we will buy it out, or at least we would have this March, but I mean, talk about some pretty good deals!!! And Ahhhh I love so many books in your haul! (I also have to say I was surprised at how much I enjoy The Host!)
I love the title of your haul, it gave me a good chuckle.
Hahah thank you! Glad I could make you laugh! <3
OMG, your book hauls make me feel so much better about my own self-control, or lack of (I know that’s little help to you though 😂)
I really want to read The Priory of the Orange Tree, but it’s so expensive. It would look lovely on my bookshelf though, so maybe next month… 😉

OH DAMN SAM! That’s a huge haul! I’ve only read Eliza and her Monsters but almost all of the others are on my TBR too 😍
I knoooowwwwww!!!!!!! I went batshit crazy and I don’t know who is more happy about this–my heart or my shelves 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
There are so many of them on my TBRs! I also just got both Evelyn books, the Deaths and the Husbands!
OMG YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been itching to read them so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them when you get to reading them as well!
I am reading the shadow frost. It is going to be the fantasy of the year!
I am reading shadow frost and this is going to be the fantasy of the year!
Oh my god! THIS IS CRAZY
Moving on, a lot of the books you bought are on my TBR too and I can not wait to see what you think about them!
Happy Reading!
