Happy Friday before Christmas Storytellers! The past few weeks have been crazy busy for me as I wrapped up my fall season as a Stage Manager for my local theatre, as well as prepping for end of year at my day job. So it’s an understatement when I say that my blog upkeep has completely gone to the wayside.
However, Bookend Events is a literal gem and Clo (my illustrious co-coordinator and creator of the thing I’m about to mention) has given us an amazing add-on for Bookending Winter that is literally going to save my life over the next few days as I am on vacation from work–Tidyathon.
Now if you don’t know what Tidyathon is, you can find all the great and amazing information about it over on Clo’s post (Tidyathon Info). But essentially what it is, is an event where you set aside time to clean up either your blog, goodreads, netgalley, etc. So that you have a cleaner more organized space.
Like I said before, upkeep has not been a thing for me this December, so I’m excited to finally be able to dedicate some time to making this space a more functional corner of the internet world.
-MY ASPIRATIONS/GOALS FOR TIDYATHON-
Redesign the Theme. I’ve been thinking about doing a redesign of the blog for a hot minute now, as I have heard from a few people, that my bright colors are not so pleasant on the eyes. So I’m hopping to have the blog looking a little more like me and my aesthetic as I think I’ve found my niche in the book blogging community.
Update Pages. They are a literal mess. I will say nothing more on the subject. Just a hot mess.
Fix my Goodreads Shelves. I don’t even think I utilize the shelves properly, so I am going think about fixing them bad boys up a bit.
Update Netgalley Profile/Bio. This hasn’t been updated since I first got a Netgalley when I began doing the blog….and suddenly I realize why I’m not getting any approvals. #mood
Update dividers to fit new theme/aesthetic. The arrow is no longer cutting it for me.
And those are my goals for this upcoming week! Are you taking part in Tidyathon? What are you planning to tidy? Let me know below!
