Happy day two of #Blogoween my fellow menaces to society! In case you missed the extraordinary news about Blogoween, you can check out this post here for all the details and what it is about.
Today is another round of prompts from the great Host Anthony @ Keep Reading Forward. Today’s prompt is Favorite Fall and/or Halloween Book covers–if you want you can show off books from your shelves in an epic shelfie or be super chill (like me) and use goodreads! Anthony has also expressed that props are optional and encourages as this can also be an Instagram challenge too!
So without further ado here are some of my favourite Fall/Halloween book covers!
Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
I read this book Sophomore year of High School and remembered it being the weirdest most fascinating things I read that year. So now every time I see the cover on my shelves I’m instantly taken to the Halloween mindset.
Golden by Jessi Kirby
I will forever stan this contemporary. It is one of those books that leave a lasting impression on you. Plus the cover alone is so autumnal it could basically be the photograph of autumn in the dictionary. It’s just so shiny and golden. Ugh, I’m IN LOVE with this cover. IN LOVE I SAY!
Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire
Tell me one look at this stunning cover and you aren’t automatically transported into my second favorite season of the year? This cover screams an adventure in the fall leaves are in my future, and honestly–I am HERE for it!
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
We won’t even get into the fact that this book made me a blubbering mess. No we are just going to stare at this cover and think hot damn this book looks like it’s going to scare the crap out of me instead of make me run and find a box of tissues.
The Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Okay, out of all the Harry Potter books, Goblet of Fire gives me serious fall vibes with its cover–especially this cover. Like it’s both Halloween and Autumn; and it screams a promise of a good time.
The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
If I didn’t know any better I would have totally thought this book a horror/thriller novel rather than a dystopian. The cover just gives off this great-at-Halloween-time vibe that I am always drawn to during the fall season.
In the Middle of the Night by Robert Comier
Okay you can’t tell me this isn’t scary as shit? Like Sophomore me in English was all kinds of prepped to bust out her holy water and Bible.
The Visitation by Frank E. Peretti
Okay I did break out the holy water with this one. #NoShame
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
Who would I be if I didn’t add this to my favorite fall covers list? It’s probable one of the many romance classics of our time. Plus the cover is LITERALLY fall. Like you can’t get more on the nose than this folks. Now excuse me while I go grab a box of tissues while I remember the walk.
(…get it..? Cause it’s called a walk to remember…and it’s sad?)
The cover of A Monster Calls does remind me of Halloween. It’s so creepy!
Happy readings! 😉
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
It’s incredibly spookier looking than it is! haha Thank you :D!
I totally agree with the Harry Potter cover, it’s just so fall-like!
How could I forget Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire when making my list?! lol I really like yours over all.
Haha Thank you!! It almost didn’t make my list either until I was staring at my books for a good thirty minutes trying to find my next read when I saw it. The audible gasp that came from me was unreal lolololol!
hahah, you’re welcome! 🙂
I love A Walk to Remember, and that cover is definitely fall!!

How was I not following you? I thought I was😂. Harry Potter will always remind me of Autumn(fall). All these covers scream Autumn.
Harry Potter shall forever be a Autumn mood!
Also, I THOUGHT I WAS FOLLOWING YOU TOO?! Lol we can pretend this never happened and we’ve been following each other from the beginning. xD
Yes, let’s pretend it never happened 😁
