January Wrap Up

We are officially a month into 2019 and so far it hasn’t been to shabby for me! I have taken my resolutions to heart this time around and actually have kept with them? I know I am shocked too! I’ve gotten a grip on my eating habits (so far) and I’m slowly working myself back up to running material–which I hope to start integrating back this month.

Reading wise, for me though, this month has been a low-key doozy, I did a lot of re-reads solely because I felt myself inching into a reading slump–which is no bueno when Netgalley decides to approve a bucket load of books for you–so I haven’t really pushed myself in the reading area much just because I didn’t wanna dive head first into the abyss of slumps.

Nonetheless though, I got a decent amount of books read within the last 31 days!  Continue reading “January Wrap Up”

December Wrap Up

HAPPY NEW YEARS STORYTELLERS! 2018 was a whirlwind personally and professionally, both in a positive and negative ways. I have grown a lot in these 365 days and I have learned a lot not only about myself but about the world around me. I have gained so many new friends during 2018 that it almost makes up for the shitty times the year doled out to me. But in the end, honestly, I am just so looking forward to what 2019 has in store for me and this little nook in the woods.

2018 aside, December was a coo-coo month for me! I wrapped up my fall theatre season as a Stage Manager, fought my way through the crowds (my social anxiety and claustrophobia was not happy with this) for Christmas presents and decorations, and read/watched/listened to some great pieces of fiction…as well as some duds.

So grab a snack, get comfy in your footie pajamas and let’s see what all I did in the month of December!  Continue reading “December Wrap Up”

October Wrap-Up & GIVEAWAY WINNER

I feel like I say this with every wrap-up, but honestly where did the month go? Where has the year gone?! I cannot believe that we are only sixty days away from ringing in 2019!

200 (2).gif

October was a whirlwind month for me. Blogoween kicked off for the first time and was a HUGE success (all thanks to you guys), I hosted my very first giveaway (which the winner will be announced below!), and I have made so many new friends here in the book blogging world! Honestly, October was a great month filled to the brim with different events and different emotions. I can’t even believe this but hot damn I read a crap ton too. How I found the time to host, co-organize, work, read, and you know–breathe, I will never know! But flipping flapjacks does it feel good.

Before we get into what exactly I read, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that participated and hosted Blogoween. You guys are simply amazing. None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for your enthusiasm and participation! Thank you to everyone who posted for it throughout blogoween, and to all the hosts for giving us a piece of your week/blog throughout the month of October and promoting the shiznits out of this event! YOU ARE THE REAL MVP!!!

This month has been a nostalgic month in the music department as I have found myself venturing back into a country mood. Maybe because it’s fall and cool weather has decided to sporadically visit the city I live in that has got me into my southern roots and what not. I don’t really know, but man oh man have I been loving these songs like crazy this month:

  • Shallow – Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper
  • Hi-Low – Bishop Briggs
  • Lullaby Love – Roo Panes
  • Neon Church – Tim Mcgraw
  • Lose It – Kane Brown
  • Beautiful Crazy – Luke Combs
  • To A T – Ryan Hurd
  • Burn the Ships Album – For KING and COUNTRY
  • Dead Man’s Arms – Bishop Briggs
  • Taki Taki – DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Cardi B, Ozuna
  • Without Me – Halsey
  • Sweet But Psycho – Ava Max
  • She’s Got the Best Of Me – Luke Combs
  • Simple – Florida Georgia Line
  • Talked You Out of It – Florida Georgia Line
  • Whiskey Glasses – Morgan Wallen

Blogoween Day3 (1).png

Ah, another day back in the Blogoween sphere and honestly I am having a blast reading everyone’s posts! And to think it is the only third day of Blogoween! You guys are amazing and I am thriving on your excitement and enthusiasm for this event! YOU ARE AMAZING!

For today’s Blogoween’s post I decided to deviate from the host’s prompts and go rogue. I know forever me staying on brand. But I thought it would be fun to show you guys what I am planning on reading this month, as well as wrap up everything that I devoured last month!
