Well hello there! Long time, no wrap up! Like August– September went by like half of the Avengers when Thanos snapped his fingers. Next thing I knew, we were closing out September and I still hadn’t posted my August Wrap up…or anything really. From my laziness and also my pension to be absolutely burnt out and unmotivated these days– this August & September Wrap Up was born.
August was a pretty chill month in the reading world for me. I read a total of 7 books all of them being 4-5 starred. August was also the month where I read mostly via audiobooks. I did most of my reading while at work or in the car due to it being the last few weeks my aunt was staying with me before relocating for work; and I wanted to get as much time in with her as possible.
September is when I went complete and total ape shit. I read almost everything I could get my hands on and almost everything I could shove into my ear holes. Clocking in at a total of 16 books. I read some ARCs (or well attempted to read some ARCs) and then through my TBR completely out the door half way through the month and decided to just read whatever the hell I wanted. And let me tell you, that was probably the BEST decision I have ever made. My slump said “I’ll check back in on you later” and I went to town! Some of the books I picked up, were duds–but gosh it was so refreshing to just be able to look at a synopsis and then dive in instead of having to put it on the ever growing TBR shelf and hope to get to it soon.
Overall, I think I did pretty solid with each of these months. I haven’t bested myself with a 20 book read month yet, but the year isn’t over yet! One of these three months, I will conquer this and read 20 books! Now, let’s do what we do best over here and grab some of your favorite popcorn, maybe a pumpkin spice latte if you are into it, and lets check out the stories I’ve consumed these past 2 months!

Sammy Sam!! It looks like you had two very full months. I know what you mean about just reading for pleasure. It’s so refreshing, isn’t it, to just grab the first book that draws your attention and just read it.
