Bookending Winter 2020 is coming to a close but my reign continues! We are finally in the final countdown, the home stretch–the last week of Bookending Winter! I am sad that the event is almost over as I’ve made some pretty terrific friends this month and have taken peeks (I’m working on blog hopping!) at some blogs that I’m excited to delve into in the next few weeks!
If this is your first time here on my blog (hi! Hello! I’m Sam!) and you don’t already know what Bookending Winter is, its a month long event in December that was created by myself and Clo @ Cuppa Clo where we aspire to bring the bookish community closer together through the platform we love the most–blogging! Each day throughout the month, we have different prompts from different hosts that participants can replicate! I am so excited to check out everyone’s posts and prompts as we get more into the month as our hosts this year are dishing out quality content! You can also catch me smiling from ear to ear as I get to meet all of you on your blogs and on our Twitter (@bookend_events if you haven’t followed, you totally should!) page!
Also, don’t forget that we have a blog hopping masterlist! The list features all of our participants and those who are participating in Bookending Winter can put their post links next to their name for easy blog hopping! Can’t wait to see all your amazing posts! And with that, let’s get into today’s prompt!

What are your top ten most anticipated reads for next year?
Unchartered by Adriana Anders
GENRE: Romantic Suspense
RELEASES: August 31, 2021
This is the second book in the survival instincts series and never in my life I have I been so excited for a romantic suspense release than with this author and this series. I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series, Whiteout (check out my review here!), and have since opened myself up to reading more romantic suspense than I have before.

When Elias Thorne disappeared, he was America’s most wanted―a criminal both hated and feared by the entire nation. He’s spent more than a decade in one of the most remote places on earth, guarding a dangerous secret. Leo’s arrival, quickly followed by a team of expert hunters, shakes up his uneventful existence, leaving him no choice but to join forces with her―and run.
Injured and alone, Leo and Elias must battle the elements, a deadly paramilitary team, and an expert hunter in order to stop a bloody massacre. Neither is prepared for their partnership to flare into something as wild and untamed as the world around them. As the enemy draws ever closer, they must learn to dig deep, trust in each other, and forge a bond as strong as the forces of nature.
The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout
GENRE: Fantasy Romance

This one might sound silly, but I haven’t read any of the books in this series, but I am so stinking excited to finally dive into this world as JLA has yet to let me down with one of her masterpieces, and if any of the hype I’ve seen from both social media and TikTok are true–then this is one is something I am for sure going to be addicted too!

She carries the blood of the King of Gods within her. By right the crown and the kingdom are hers.
The enemy and the warrior…
Poppy has only ever wanted to control her own life, not the lives of others, but now she must choose to either forsake her birthright or seize the gilded crown and become the Queen of Flesh and Fire. And they will stop at nothing to ensure that the crown never sits upon Poppy’s head.
A lover and heartmate…
But the greatest threat to them and to Atlantia is what awaits in the far west, where the Queen of Blood and Ash has her own plans, ones she has waited hundreds of years to carry out. Poppy and Casteel must consider the impossible—travel to the Lands of the Gods and wake the King himself. And as shocking secrets and the harshest betrayals come to light, and enemies emerge to threaten everything Poppy and Casteel have fought for, they will discover just how far they are willing to go for their people—and each other.
And now she will become Queen…
A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas
GENRE: Fantasy
RELEASES: February 16, 2021
WE ARE FINALLY GETTING NESTA’S BOOK! IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING! I am so stinking excited to get a glimpse into Nesta’s character and see why she is the bitch that she is. I should preface this by stating I wasn’t a huge fan of Nesta during the ACOTAR trilogy, but the final book, A Court of Wings and Ruin, had me looking at her in a curiously different light and wondering about what she went through not just before getting turned but before. I feel like there is a lot more from Nesta and Elain that we don’t see or realize through Feyre’s POV that we will finally be able to here. I think the only thing I am not excited about is the fact that the book isn’t going to match my sets that I own.
Goodreads Amazon Barnes & Noble

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre’s Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta’s orbit. But her temper isn’t the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.
Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.
Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other’s arms.

I’m glad someone is exited about Nesta’s book. She’s the reason I won’t continue the series. I want to read that new JLA series but not enough to pay almost 20€ for the paperback. I don’t really know many books that will be published in 2021 but I am exited for The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell and Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare. I just need to read the first book first.
