When a famous music producer moves to Lake Starlight it can’t just be a coincidence. It’s the universe helping to move things along in the right direction so that Griffin Thorne can discover me.
I have to confess—I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Confession #1: I may have overhead that he was in search of a nanny. What can I say? My brother has a big mouth.
Confession #2: It’s possible I helped along the assumption that I had nanny experience. Hey, babysitting my nieces and nephew counts, right?
Confession #3: There’s a good chance I oversold my qualifications. But my Grandma Dori backed me up, so it’s not completely my fault.
And it worked. He hired me. Only for me to find out that he left the business.
I guess it’s on to Plan B.
When he accidentally overhears me singing, I expect nothing from him. Then he asks to work with me on a song for our town’s Founder’s Day Parade and it feels like a dream come true. Until…
Confession #4: I’ve fallen for him.

If you thought that the Bailey series by writing duo Piper Rayne couldn’t have gone any better after swoon worthy Denver and toe curling Liam—think again. Confessions of A Naughty Nanny is the latest installment in everyone’s favorite Alaskan family and for the first time we get to see things from Phoenix’s perspective.
If I wasn’t sold before on Piper Rayne’s ability to captivate, hook, and swoon a reader—I am now. This story had everything I wanted and more, especially in a single dad romance. With a glass of wine in my hand a big bowl of popcorn, I saddled into this one thinking I was going to read for just an hour or so before bed. Nope. I binged the entirety of this story in one go.
Phoenix has always been one to know what she wants, but after chasing her dreams in LA and getting her ass handed to her by life; she feels like she is just drifting. But when one of the biggest music producers in North America moves to Lake Starlight for a fresh start, she sees her one and only chance.
Going in I didn’t think I would really vibe or connect with Phoenix’s character, just because I wanted to throttle her sometimes during the previous books—but getting into her perspective and seeing life through her eyes, as nothing short of relatable. The almost slow burn like growth in the relationship between Phoenix and Griffin, our Hero, is heart clenching and a thousand chef kisses all wrapped into one.
Griffin is the kind of older single Dad I read romances for. Burned by love, and hurt by those in his industry; my heart went out to the big guy and his adorable son, Maverick, the moment they set foot in Lake Starlight. I wanted them to be mine.
With glimpses into the lives of our other favorite Bailey couples, and a HUGE sneak peek into the next Bailey’s journey. I am honestly head over heels obsessed with this installment. If you are looking for a good age gap (Older Man / Younger Woman), single Dad contemporary romance that will make you fan yourself and wish fictional characters were real, I highly recommend giving this story a go!
