MARCH IS ALMOST HERE!
Goodbye romance movies, hello drama and thrillers! Y’all when I tell you I am pumped for Marches line up, it means I am PUMPED THAT WE ARE ONLY ONE MONTH AWAY FROM THE LAST AVENGERS MOVIE. Okay I will stop screaming now.
But seriously, though, the wait for the last avengers movie is killing me, but the cinematography world is doing a great job tiding me over with other great pieces of art until I get hit with the feels, and March is one of the months that is promises bangers after bangers of solid feature films that I need to get my grubby hands on!
So get your calendars and your fandango account ready friends, cause this list leaves no one behind!
Captain Marvel (March 8)
Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
Rated: PG 13
Directed: Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck
Starring: Brie Larson, Gemma Chan, Samuel L. Jackson, Lee Pace
Carol Danvers becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.
Y’all know I stan Marvel like I stan romance. So was this ever really a question on whether or not this was going to be on my TBW list? Give me a female lead in a superhero setting any day and I will be all over it.
Five Feet Apart (March 15)
Genre: Romance, Drama
Rated: PG-13
Directed: Justin Baldoni
Starring: Cole Sprouse, Haley Lu Richardson, Claire Forlani, Parminder Nagra
A pair of teenagers with life-threatening illnesses meet in a hospital and fall in love.
I want to watch this movie for three reasons and three reasons only: 1. Cole Sprouse, 2. Justin Baldoni is directing and I so far really enjoy watching his work and his creative process, and finally 3. That banging IMDB synopsis you see above you. Isn’t it…gripping? 😂
Us (March 22)
Genre: Horror, Thriller
Rated: R
Directed: Jordan Peele
Starring: Elisabeth Moss, Anna Diop, Lupita Nyong’o, Kara Hayward
A family’s serenity turns to chaos when a group of doppelgängers begin to terrorize them.
I was absolutely captivated by Get Out, and so when I heard that Peele was creating a new thriller, my wallet instantly came out and I screamed “TAKE MY MONEY NOW”. The trailer alone is one that has me shook and the movie hasn’t even come out yet!
I gotta see Us the minute it comes out!!
OMG YES!
CAPTAIN MARVEL ADFKLDSJ;ADKLSJADSJKLAFSD (translation: I’m seeing it on release day with some of my suitemates and we’re all so hyped omg)
I’m not super sold on Five Feet Apart, but “Cole Sprouse” is a pretty convincing reason to see it, ngl 😅 I’m guessing it’ll be cute and forgettable, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a good time!
at this point I just don’t have time to keep up with what’s coming out, whether it’s books or movies (I can barely keep track of whether the few shows I watch are renewed are not, tbh) and I’m just always behind – a couple weeks ago I watched The Greatest Showman, Pitch Perfect 3, and the first twentyish minutes of Ready Player One for the first time – so thank goodness for you and these anticipated-releases posts! 😉
OMG WE CAN FLAIL ABOUT CAPTAIN MARVEL TOGETHER THEN! YES!
Cole sprouse forever is what I will whisper in the theatre if this movie goes down in flames lol.
YAY! I’m glad I could help you keep up!
yes looking forward to all the Captain Marvel flailing!! 😉 (and hoping Cole Sprouse isn’t the single redeeming aspect of the movie, but well. at least we’ll have that.)
MOOOOOOODDDDDDD
YES “CAPTAIN MARVEL”!! YES “US”!
Didn’t the book version of Five Feet Apart just come out? That movie adaptation was QUICK.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the book had been out for a while but they were reprinting it with a new cover and things to hype the movie more. NOT sure though….🤔🤔
Hmmmm…it’s a mystery…
(One I could easily google, but why bother?)
I’m so excited about 5 feet apart! Ah, the trailer looks so amazing and can it please just come to the cinemas this very second?!
I’m not a very big fan of Marvel/DC but my brither is really excited for Captain Marvel and will probably drag me to see it with him! Can’t wait for all these great movies to be released.
Fantastic post xx
I’m so happy you are excited! I honestly haven’t read the book but I’m here solely for cole sprouse. lololol.
OMG PLEASE LET HIM DRAG YOU!!!!!!
Haha, same. Hot guy + nice plot = Time for a movie!
And I will have to, even if I don’t want to – he’ll drag me out the door kicking and screaming.
But maybe, I’ll go willingly this time, seeing as to how excited you are for it!
LEE PACE?! Sold AF, lol. I didn’t realise the Captain Marvel film was coming out already. That will be on my watch list for sure. 🙂
YASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EVERY MONTH IS A CUTE ROMANCE MOVIE MONTH, SAM. Although I love me some good dramas and thrillers soooooo. I really want to see Captain Marvel, but I’m behind on ALL the superhero movies, haha whoops.
I’m honestly so excited for Us, it’s not even funny!
YES! I’m pumped!
I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT US OMFG
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
