August Wrap Up + BLOGOWEEN

How is this year almost over?!
August is officially done and over with and so much has happened these past thirty days that I can’t even wrap my head around it. I didn’t read as much as I usually do, but wow-oh-wow was August jam-packed with adulting changes. I started a new job, got a car (still need a license…slowly but surely we are getting there people), my dog (Mr. Chips) finally has overcome his fear of driving in the car at night and now loves it, and I made some

Mr. Chips when I told him we were going to the bookstore.

amazing new friends here in this blogging world!
But can I just say HOW FREAKING PUMPED I AM FOR FALL AND WINTER!? Y’all my favorite time of year is only thirty days away! My happy-go-lucky ass is breaking out all the cardigans, combat boots, candles, and fuzzy blankets I own–AND I AM HERE FOR IT. Not to mention this year is going to be even greater since I’ll be hosting/participating in BLOGOWEEN AND BLOGMAS with a bunch of my friends here in the bookblogging world! But I’ll talk more about that later on in the post.
We only have 21 more days until fall season is officially here (yes, yes I do have a countdown on my phone) and then I will be living my best 2018 life yet! But for now, let’s see how August was for me!

Image result for music pngThis month has been an interesting month music wise. I decided to experiment a little and am trying out Apple Music for the first time. Typically I have only ever used Spotify (except for that very brief stint with Google Music, which we will never speak of again *shudders*), but since becoming an iPhone user (and loving it) I decided to fully immerse myself in the Apple ways. After a month so far…I miss Spotify. A lot. I may make a post talking about the difference and what I do and don’t like. But for now…yeah Spotify has my heart.
Here are a few songs, though, that have been on repeat for me this past month!

  • God is a Woman by Ariana Grande
  • Natural by Imagine Dragons
  • The Entire New Moon Soundtrack because issa mood
  • Girls Like You by Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B
  • Barbie Dreams by Nicki Minaj
  • Rivers and Roads by The Head and The Heart
  • Barton Hallow by The Civil Wars
  • Emmeline by Bruno Merz

Goodbye Summer, hello Fall!
This October is going to be super fun and spooky filled solely because Blogoween (bookblogger style) is happening! Blogoween is basically the Halloween version of Blogmas (we will be doing this too!) that me and some amazingly pumpkin filled bloggers have gotten together to create during the month of October. The amazing Clo @ Book Dragons has created a post going into more detail about what to expect during Blogoween which I will link down below! Check back here in the coming weeks where I’ll be talking more about this pumpkin and cauldron filled event!

How was your August?signature

WOW You’re a fast reader! And yours is one of the few reviews which gave To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before a 3.5 or so… 🙂 Love scouring for different ratings like these! Helps me decide whether to read a book or not 🙂 TQ for sharing!
