Eva Leigh is becoming one of those authors that I’ll read if I’m craving a fun little historical romance romp. Adventure filled and romance driven, Counting On Countess digs us deeper into the nitty gritty side of the regency era with Tamsyn and Kit. Tamsyn is an orphan who by night is a smuggler to save her townspeople; but inorder to keep her operations afloat, she must find herself money fast–aka a husband. Enter Kit. A former soldier who has newly become the Earl of Blakemore. After the untimely death of a friend, Kit finds himself the owner of a hefty inheritance but there is a catch–he must marry soon or all the money will be gone. We do love a man in need of a wife.
I really enjoyed this marriage of convenience, reluctant virgin historical romance. I feel like Leigh is really falling into step with this series, and finding her groove as with each book so far we are getting a bit more action and adventure. We are brought back to our fun in the sex club which helps our FMC learn that sex is completely normal and natural, and might I say that these scenes are by far my favorite so far in each book? The complete enthrall and fun these characters have once they step foot in the club, is everything I never knew I needed (and now I most definitely need a book solely taking place in there!).
I’m excited to jump into the final book in the trilogy and see what all Eva Leigh has in store for us.
