We are finally to the half way point in our Crave series buddy read with Jamsu! After the chaos of the last book, Court brings us back to some form of structure? We are getting answers, and I’m having a time in my earholes.

I may have reached my breaking point. As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn’t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire. Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all… Then again, when has anything at Katmere Academy not been intense?
And the hits just keep coming. Jaxon’s turned colder than an Alaskan winter. The Circle is splintered over my upcoming coronation. As if things couldn’t get worse, now there’s an arrest warrant for Hudson’s and my supposed crimes—which apparently means a lifetime prison sentence with a deadly unbreakable curse.
Choices will have to be made…and I fear not everyone will survive.

This felt like coming back to the goodness that Crush was. I really loved how everything was finally coming into place and the characters are finally getting into the groove of their new roles and places in this world. We have Grace coming to grips with her new found status, and her determination to save her kind. I really enjoyed watching Grace come into her own in Court; and how she is finally not taking any shit.
I’m going to try very hard not to spoil anything in this, so bare with. Court takes us on a journey to stop a crazy dude who is on a bender to have complete world domination, and because of that we get to go on this crazy (emphasis on crazy) journey of battle planning, fighting, and romance to stop this dude. In comparison to Covet, I was hooked to this story. So many things were happening with this one, and we finally were getting resolutions to the things that have been up in the air since book 2.
I really liked the action and fast paced nature of some scenes with this book. But unpopular opinion–this book could have been a good 200 pages shorter, because when it was slow, oh my god was it slow. But with that said, you could totally skip Covet and just read this one and not miss much, so if you do that, then the extra 200 pages are needed.
I will say that Wolff really pulled out all the stops with the representation (non-binary rep) and diversifying her characters, which I really enjoyed seeing in this series. Wolff also leaves us with one last question, that sets us up for the last half of the series. Which will be interesting to see how she pulls that off as I thought this would have been an excellent finish to the series.
