I may have reached my breaking point. As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn’t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire. Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all… Then again, when has anything at Katmere Academy not been intense?
And the hits just keep coming. Jaxon’s turned colder than an Alaskan winter. The Circle is splintered over my upcoming coronation. As if things couldn’t get worse, now there’s an arrest warrant for Hudson’s and my supposed crimes—which apparently means a lifetime prison sentence with a deadly unbreakable curse.
Choices will have to be made…and I fear not everyone will survive.

Well this felt like a bit of a backslide compared to Crush. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed reading this but it felt very much like an overly long filler. The plot was very erratic (if you could call it a plot) and the pacing was never really consistent. The only thing that makes sense at this point is Hudson and hudson alone.
I don’t really know what to say in this review, apart from I’m team Hudson and I’m not sure what I ever saw in Jaxon. The love triangle is very much reminiscent to the Adam/Warner fiasco in the Shatter Me series by Tahera Mafi. There was so much going on here in regards to the love triangle and the mating bond, that it felt like Wolff was trying to smoosh as many paranormal romance tropes she could into one series. I very much wished throughout the entirety of this that Grace just chose Hudson so we could be done with it.
I loved the slow burn though between Hudson and Grace and how the two’s relationship blossomed (even with Jaxon hanging over them). I really can’t say much about the rest of the story without spoiling alot of major things from Crush–but what I can say is that even though this wasn’t the greatest story I’ve read and didn’t meet the standard of Crush that I was hoping, I still had fun reading this chaotic novel. Wolff has a way to keep you reading even when it doesn’t make any sense, and I really appreciated it with this one.
Fingers crossed Court is better!
