May Wrap Up

I KICKED READINGS SLUMPS ASS.
This last month I said screw you to my reading slump and read all the things, and I actually enjoyed almost if not all of them?! WHO EVEN AM I?! I know, A bad-ass reader who doesn’t take no shit unless its from unicorns!
May was a truly an eye opener month, I realized a lot of things both personally and here on the blog that really pushed me to make a change (my post: Gaining Perspective.), and those changes have really helped and benefited me a lot. I’m not stressing as much as before, and I am actually enjoying reading again–which by itself is a miracle.
A time has been had.
But other than that, May has been chalk full of some great storytelling; so grab some popcorn, get a snuggly blanket, maybe even some lemonade for summer purposes, and check out all the things I consumed for the last 31 days!

New section, who dis?
I am a super advocate of promoting each other and supporting others in the book community, as I always say–we are small, but we are hella mighty! So I honestly gasped when I realized (yeah it took me this long) that I didn’t have a dedicated section to the blog posts that I loved this month from all of you! So this is me rectifying that!

Aww Sam thanks for including my post!
Now, I need to know, how do you feel about Boss Baby I’m assuming you don’t hate it if you rewatched it, because that movie secretly cracks me up. (Also, have you seen The Storks?)
Go you for no 1 star or DNF books for this month, you kicked May in the gut and showed it who was boss lol. I’ll be snooping your playlist btw so expect random messages from me claiming to love songs that you put on here because it’ll happen lol.
I love that you’re taking time to really shape this blog to represent YOU and I’m so glad you’re going to put more of what you want! I can’t wait for June <3

HECK YEAH YOU VANQUISH THAT SLUMP. (but also don’t take shit from unicorns, Sam, I know it’s shiny and colorful but it’s still poop 😂) omg look at all those 4 and 5 star reads! what a month. and thank you for including my post! 💕
I thought I’d spent more time watching TV than my TVTime app is reporting, so I guess one of us is lying? (though it could be that I just forgot to put in what episodes I watched … so either I’m lying or I’m lying, I guess.) but I got to catch up on The Bold Type and B99 and some of Fresh Off the Boat so I had some good laughs post-finals. hopefully June doesn’t turn into potato-ing in bed with my laptop instead of reading or doing productive / healthy things, it’s so tempting 😅

*kicks slumps butt a little more for emphasis* LMAO but they shit glitter so is it really poop? 🧐
Yay for getting caught up though! I still need to watch the Bold Type (I think I left off in the middle of season 1?) Fingers crossed that you get a nice balance of potato-ing and productivity this summer! <3

Yay for getting out of your reading slump! Looks like you read some great books. I only read 3 in May because exams, which I’ve been complaining about forever but I’m planning to read much more this month.
I see you’ve watched Hanna, I keep seeing that on Amazon Prime. Is it any good? I haven’t heard anything about it.

At least exams are over now! Here is to hoping you can relax and enjoy your time!
Hanna was pretty good, I enjoyed watching it enough to continue the series when the second season is released but it wasn’t mind blowing. I do however think it is better than the original movie. WAY better.

I didn’t even know there was a movie 😂😂. Shows how little I know of it. I’ll check it out but first need to watch everything else on my list 😁

You’ve read so much! I’m so proud of you!! I don’t want to know how many books I’ve read in May.. I think it’s maybe.. 2? or 3? And now I’ve started batmonitoring and I don’t think I’ll be able to read more. But! I prepared a lot of blogposts for this months challenge 🙂 And I’m back on Discord. I haven’t thanked you for checking in with me during my time away. thank you <3
