BOOKENDING SPRING 2019: The Productivity Book Tag [ORIGINAL]

bookending springI’m Baaaacccckkkk!!!!
Bookending Spring has been a whirlwind of an event this year, and as I waddle through everyone’s posts I can’t help but smile reading your posts and comments! I hope each of you have been enjoying your time participating in the event and making new friends within our beautiful community! Today is the beginning of me reclaiming the throne as host for the remainder of April!
As my first decree back on the throne, I thought it would be fun to do a tag!
Without further ado! Let’s waddle into today’s prompt!

Planning | A book that is completely thought out.

For this one I totally have to go with the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas, to this day everytime I re-read this series I am constantly finding new foreshadowing and depth to either the plot or the characters that I never noticed before.

Focus | A book that kept your undivided attention

It’s no surprise to anyone that knows me, that I totally am going to have to say This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada. This book captured me from the first chapter and I literally could not set it down until I finished it. Probably one of the best one-sit binges I have done ever!

Delegating | A book that should have been a series

Now I have started this book yet, but The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. She too thicc to be one whole book.
Share the love.
Share the thickness.

Small goals | Name a book below 150 pages that you loved

We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie would be my pick for this question! Feminism is one of the many things in life that I am passionate about and I love being able to get different perspectives of what Feminism is and means to others–which is exactly what I got to do while reading this 52 pages book.

Peak Hours | A series you could only read at a certain time

I know I already said TMC, but for this one I had to go with it’s series next intallment: This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada. I found myself only being able to really get into this story during the evening/night time, as I felt like it added a different dimension to the story than when I tried (and failed) to read it during the day. It’s like watching a new movie–it’s just better in the dark.

Lists | A book that you finally crossed off your TBR

City of Glass by Cassandra Clare! This book has literally been sitting on my TBR since it’s release and it was just this past December that I finally took the plunge and finished it! You can click here to read my full review!

Proactive | A book that is/was ahead of its time

This was a toss up, but I think I am going to have to go with How To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee–the obvious reasons aside, I truly think that this book transcends the time it was published and really speaks to the current events of today.

Declutter | A series you wish you could unread

The Fallen series by Lauren Kate. A mind-numbing dumpster fire that was. Like what even did I read…

Multi-tasking | books that you read at the same time

I have been known to read multiple books at the same time, so I think for this one I am just gonna list my current reads!

Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody

Birth of A Baby Daddy by Piper Rayne

Once Upon a Bad Boy by Melonie Johnson

Omg, you are so right with To Kill a Mockingbird, it really is a book that just seems to always be current (and that’s unfortunate for many reasons).

It’s almost bittersweet really, sweet because it’s great for the book, and bitter because wow–thats our current societal state.

The fallen series was THE BIGGEST disappointment. It was the first series, the first batch of books, I gave away. I read the first two and couldn’t go on.

I made the mistake of purchasing the entire series so I could binge it. Now I currently have them sitting in a box to donate to my library if they want them or sell when I move this summer. lmao. I learned my lesson with buying the whole series before reading. a time. lol
