Image result for avengers endgameI am not okay.
It’s been a little over eight hours since the I walked out of my local theater after seeing Endgame for the first time and I still don’t quite know how to fully express the emotions I felt in Endgame besides for that opening statement. But alas, here we are so I am going to try my best.
The film takes place right after the events of Infinity War, where we get a critical look at exactly what Thanos did and how everyone is holding up. The movie then depicts the remaining Avengers taking a final stand and their last chance shot at saving the fallen and avenging Earth.
Throughout the three hour film we are given a different side of every character that has never been seen before in all 21 of the previous films. The character growth alone in the movie is enough to give it the five star rating I did today, From the secondary characters to the original six–the growth of each one was taken into consideration and written with so much depth, that throughout the film you feel as if every character is a main character.
Image result for avengers endgameWith a well full of audience favorite moments, and humorous jokes, Endgame also gives us these moments of reflection that bring a sense of sincerity and rawness to the film that we rarely get to see within a super-hero film. Through the entirety of this Marvel Epic, we get to see an underlying theme of just how powerful hope can be–especially when put together.
Even though there are many plot hole inconsistencies within Endgame, the film gives fans of the franchise a feeling of catharsis and empowerment that is deeper than our typical Marvel installment.  With a blend of humor, action, and meaning, Endgame is a movie that exceeds making an imprint on cultural history and takes it a step further by leaving its mark on it’s viewers heart with every heart stopping moment.

UPDATE 4/29/2019:
After continuous thought, I have realized and come across more inconsistencies that unlike the others, I am not able to overlook as they question the fabric of the foundation of Endgame’s main plot. Though I still love this movie, and am forever trash for Marvel, I can’t in good conscious keep my original star rating of 5 stars as is. With that being said, I am docking my original rating to 4 stars. This new rating feels more in line with my thoughts on the film now then previously.

I can agree with you on that front, I did feel like there was some cop-out moments made with a few characters, but I was able to overlook it as majority of the character development was really looked at. For Thor I felt like the way they treated him was a way to humanize him maybe? I am still mulling over the reasons for him tbh because…yeah. a time. lol
